Our first release is a three-track EP from Hungary's best-kept secret, Snaper. He's only 20 years old and even we never heard him before, but his music is mature and well-thought enough to already see him as an established producer with a unique sound. And what did he bring us? His own version of dark, creepy drum & bass with the spookiest, cinematic breakdowns.
Fear is like the epitome of his production as he said, his goal with music is to obsess people by fear. Starting with a long intro you're listening to a monoluge of a girl twisted like it was no human voice. Dark soundscapes, fierce pads and suddenly appeared subs guides thru the drumfunk oriented amen-fuelled piece.
The Light kicks off with a chopped up amen break and spacey key pattern - we don't really know what's gonna happen until the breakdown. Guess what, then it turns into an agressive amen smasher. Watch out for that menacing lead!
We would think No Way has the same favour as The Light, yet Snaper can bring upon us another twist whenever he wants and made a dark but more playful, varied and detailed amen tearout. Snaper style.
Watch out for his complex beats on Exegene too, where he delivers Etron - as Cube said -, his very own version of breakcore.
